Ever since Amitabh Bachchan got into trouble with his company ABCL incurring heavy losses, two people have stood by him all along. One of course, is his close friend Amar Singh, who not supported the Bachchans during the times when they needed his help the most but made no secret of this fact by accompanying the Bachchans at all public platforms, but the other person who has helped Mr. Bachchan and his family all along without being at the centre stage is Anil Ambani.
The association of Amitabh Bachchan and the owner of Reliance Dhirubhai Ambani Group Anil Ambani, started when the latter invested in the popular Television show, Kaun Banega Carorepati that led to the revival of fortunes of Mr. Bachchan. Now, it seems that its payback time for
Mr. Bachchan as Anill Ambani hopes to utilize Mr. Bachchan’s work in the field of cinema to earn some money.
Reports suggest that Anil Ambani’s media company Big Tv is planning to celebrate Amitabh Bachchan’s 40 years successful run in Bollywood by releasing some of his bigger hits like Shakti, Do Aur Do Paanch, Zanjeer, Hum, Amar Akbar Anthony once again.
Sources in Reliance say that whereas Mr. Bachchan was the best thing to have had happened to Bollywood ever, the younger generation hadn’t had the opportunity to witness and experience that great era in Indian cinema. By releasing the best work of Mr. Bachchan all over again, Reliance group wants the youth to see the all those magical movies of Amitabh Bachchan that made the superstar rule Bollywood in 1970’s and 80’s.
Reliance hopes that though DVD’s of all his films are easily available these days, the effect of watching Mr. Bachchan’s best work on the bigger screen would be totally different and the youth of today shouldn’t be devoid of this unique experience.
