Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan
Amar Singh is planning a film on Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
Amar Singh is said to have played a significant role in the revival of the fortunes of Amitabh Bachchan when the superstar of Bollywood was caught into a big financial crises after his production company ABCL Corporation suffered heavy losses. And after the two turned friends, Amitabh Bachchan started considering Amar Singh just like a family member. Their friendship was so strong that Amar Singh helped Jaya Bachchan get the membership of Rajya Sabha and leaving all his near and dear ones aside even Amitabh Bachchan kept Amar Singh right in the forefront during the marriage of his son Abhishek Bachchan.
But as the strong bond between Mr Amitabh Bachchan and Amar Singh seems to have loosened off-late, it seems that the later cannot forget the days when he was seen side by side with Mr. Bachchan and his family.
Recalling those days, Amar Singh is said to be keen on producing a project, which will be loosely based on the life of Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan.
You may ask what is new and so special about this film since there cannot be anything more authentic and powerful than Silsila, which was also based on their life and had both Amitabh and Jaya in the lead role.
But the proposed movie to be produced by Amar Singh is going to be slightly different. To begin with, it will be a silent film with no dialogues and to not get into a legal tangle afterwards, Amar Singh proposes a role reversal for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, the lead star of the film. According to sources, in the proposed film the character of Katrina will be inspired by Amitabh and Salman’s character will have shades of his real life wife Jaya.
Just as you and I, even Katrina was slightly taken back when Amar Singh initially discussed the idea of this film with her but later on she accepted the offer.
Though there is no confirmation from Salman as yet, Amar Singh is very keen to have him in the film.
Since Amar Singh was so close to Amitabh and Jaya, it would be interesting to see what he shows in this rather unusual film, which he is planning.
