Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan, who made their debut together in Refugee and were also seen sharing screen space in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hu are once again be like to be cast opposite each-other in Heera Mandi.
Though Kareena and Abhishek were good friends when they began their career in Bollywood, difference between both of them developed after the engagement of Kareena’s elder sister Karisma Kapoor with Abhishek had to be called-off due to reasons best known to only the two involved parties. Reports suggest that the breaking-up of Karisma’s engagement led to both personal and professional difference between Kareena and Abhishek and both avoided being seen together even if it was just on the screen.
But as the time passed the two decided to set aside their differences at least professionally and work together if an appropriate project gives them this opportunity.
Though it has not been finalized as yet, reports suggest that their wish to work together may ultimately come true with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next project Heera Mandi.
Sources point out that though Bhansali has only signed Kareena for the film and is still unsure about whom to cast in the male lead opposite her, he is seriously considering signing Abhishek for this role.
Though, they shared the screen in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hu, if Kareena and Abhishek work together in Bhansali’s next project, it will be a totally different experience not only the two stars but also their fans since the two will be paired as a romantic couple in this film.
