Bachchans and Khans
So, did Karan Johar’s birthday party prove to be another party or did it serve some other bigger purpose than just celebrating Karan’s 37th birthday bash? If sources are to be believed some major developments, especially with regards to the Bachchans took place at the party, which are being considered significant in Bollywood.
First of all, despite the fact that a lot has been said and written about it in last few days, it was this party that made the alleged reports of a patch-up between the Bachchans and Vivek Oberoi authentic. Reports suggest that both Abhishek and Vivek met very warmly and exchanged greeting, making everyone believe that their relations have certainly improved.
Apart from the exchange of warm greetings with Vivek, Abhishek is also said to have met Karishma Kapoor during the party. Though this meeting was not as warm as the one with Vivek, it is reported that both Karishma and Abhishek stopped and said Hello to each other.
But, as the pundits of the industry see it, the most important development of this party was the meeting of the Bachchans (Abhishek and Aishwayra to be precise) with the king Khan (read King Khan as Shahrukh and his wife Gauri). Where as Abhishek may have had problems with Shahrukh because of later’s equation with his father Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya has not been on talking terms with Shahrukh ever since he reported to drop Aishwarya from his home production Chalte-Chalte.
Sources say that after the initial hesitation, the Bachchans and Khans (Shahrukh) got so comfortable with each other that Shahrukh asked the Bachchan couple to accompany them to their Bungalow Mannat – an offer that the Bachchans readily accepted. The Bachchans reportedly stayed with the Khans till early morning.
What actually transpired between the Bachchans and Khans is not known but surely this is a new beginning and we hope to see them sharing the screen in the future.
