Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has refused to perform for an award function organized by a tabloid, which allegedly took out the report of her inability to conceive.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has said No to perform for an award ceremony organized by a tabloid, which allegedly carried reports of her inability to conceive. The tabloid had reported that Aishwarya cannot conceive because she suffers from stomach tuberculosis.
Reacting strongly on the reports published in the tabloid, Aishwarya said that she is in no mood to forget and forgive the journalists for the alleged reports, which according to Aishwarya is a totally baseless and misrepresentation of the truth.
The Bachchan bahu is feeling so hurt by the alleged reports that when the tabloid contacted her requesting her to not only be present at an award function organized by it but also perform there, Aishwarya simply refused. Sources close to her point out that Aishwarya said, “I will not perform at or be a part of the function irrespective of how lucrative the offer is.”
Sources say that talks were on between the tabloid and Aishwarya for this exclusive performance at an award function organized by journal, for which the journal had offered to pay her Rs. 85 Lac.
It seems Aishwarya took this decision after she wrote to the concerned tabloid expressing her displeasure over the report and asking for an immediate apology. But, she decided to discontinue all her relations and business dealings with the tabloid, when it neither got back to Aishwarya with an apology nor published anything of those sorts in their journal.
It is not only Aishwarya, but with the way other members of the Bachchan family have reacted to the alleged reports of her inability to conceive, it seems that things are not going to stop by Aishwarya saying No to perform at a award ceremony. Going by their reaction it may not surprise many if the entire Bachchan family boycotts the awards ceremony and refuses to have any links with them until the tabloid apologizes about the alleged reports of her inability to conceive due to stomach tuberculosis.
