Ajay Devgan is very upset with Prakash Jha for the way he is promoting Raajneeti.
As the date of release of Prakash Jha’s latest film comes closer and the promos of Rajneeti are seen more often on Television channels, one person who is very upset with the way the film is being promoted is Ajay Devgan.
Ajay, who has had very good relations with the director in the past and has been a part of last two projects of Prakash Jha including Gangaajal and Apaharan says that he is uncomfortable with the fact that while Raajneeti is a political drama, it is being promoted as a romantic film.
Ajay indicated that whereas Raajneeti is a multi-starrer film with all the actors having powerful roles in it, the director is only showing the romantic angle between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to exploit the couple’s chemistry and off-screen friendship.
Reports suggest that since Ajay is a good friend of Prakash Jha, he has spoken to him and told the director that by portraying a political drama as a romantic movie, he is sending out a very wrong signal to the viewers. He added that not only the ordinary viewers but even the fans of Katrina and Ranbir will be highly disappointed when they find out that Raajneeti is not a romantic film and this may adversely affect the film’s prospects at the box office.
Reports suggest that while Prakash Jha has taken note of Ajay’s views, he has said that rather than speaking about it in public, he would like to discuss the matter with Ajay personally and sort out the issue with him. Meanwhile, Prakash has also tried to please Ajay by putting one of his powerful dialogue promo on air.
Prakash hopes this will please the upset Ajay and set the record straight between the two over the promotion of Rajneeti.
