Akshay Kumar in Blue
Akshay Kumar has said that Blue is the most dangerous film he has even done.
Though with films like Welcome, Singh Is Kinng and Kambakkht Ishq doing well at the Box office, Akshay Kumar does not need to prove that he is one of the biggest stars of Bollywood today, yet his next release Blue seems to be very significant film for his career. Akshay is once again returning to action and trying some dangerous stunts through this film.
Being a martial arts student, Akshay entered Bollywood as an action hero and some of most successful film in the early phase of his career were pure action films. It is therefore natural that though he is now accepted as a complete entertainer, somewhere deep down his heart, he still has a soft corner for stunts and action.
Though Akshay tried to revive his action hero image through 8 x 10 Tasveer, which was release earlier this year, the film failed at the Box office.
But now, Akshay is coming back with Blue and if he is to be believed, this film contains some of the most dangerous action sequences that the actor has ever performed during his 18 years of acting career.
Recalling his experience working in Blue, Akshay said, “What I liked shooting about this film was that apart from working with a very talented team, I got an opportunity to be a part of the extreme stunts, the pressure and hardcore diving sessions with all those hungry sharks around.”
Akshay said he was pushed to the limit while doing certain scenes of the film, where he was supposed to act, feel and swim like a fish. Akshay added that he had to train hard for the film because he was working with a very dedicated crew and he himself wanted to put in his best effort.
Living dangerously is nothing new for Akshay. All he must be hoping is that it pays off well and Blue does good business at the box office.
