Bollywood megastar Amitab Bachchan was recently mistaken as Shahrukh Khan by an officer at the Kuala Lumpur airport.
Amitabh Bachchan recently wrote on his blog that he was on his way back to India from Kuala Lumpur when as usual his fans surrounded him at the airport and asked him for autograph.
Mr. Bachchan wrote, ‘Airports are strange places to be at. KLIA is no different from any airport where the staff would immediately recognize any celebrity, with only a few exceptions. They mobbed to ask for pictures and stuff and I oblige to make them happy.’
He adds, ‘They seem to be obsessed with our cinema and loved our artists. But today, uniformed man walked past me, turned back after expressing some recognition and smiled to say ‘Hello. Mr ShahRukh Khan.’
Mr. Bachchan said that though he was confused whether to feel happy or sad about the mistaken identity, he is happy about the fact that Bollywood stars are being widely recognized. But at the very same time it was also strange for him that after being in the industry for over four decades, some people don’t exactly know who Amitabh Bachchan actually is.
Though he was mistaken as Shahrukh Khan, Mr. Bachchan should rejoice the fact that he was mistake for another superstar of Bollywood.
