Amitabh Bachchan recently agreed to work free for a Mohanlal film.
Amitabh Bachchan is the super star of Bollywood and even as he reaches the age of 70, there isn’t a single person in the Hindi Film industry, who wouldn’t want to work with him, the biggest star of 20th century.
But whereas every actor is desperate to work with Mr. Bachchan, the biggest star of Bollywood was keen to share the screen space with the known actor from Malayalam films Mohanlal.
Mr. Bachchan wish got fulfilled when he recently agreed to be a part of a Malayalam film and even did not charge anything for his small appearance in it just for Mohanlal.
Referring to this Malayalam film, Mr. Bachchan recently wrote on his blog, ‘Mohanlal, great model of his art and craft, one of the finest actors of the country, from Kerala and Malayalam cinema had come over to finalize dates and schedules for the film he is making directed by Capt Ravi and I said Yes to the role.’
Mr Bachchan further wrote, "I shall just rejoice in the honor that I shall get by working in a Malayalam film and that too with the exceptional Mohanlal."
Further, since he was getting to work with one of his favorite stars in India, Mr. Bachchan did not charge any money for the film. On his part though, the superstar gave a totally different reason for not charging for this film. Mr. Bachchan said that he has a guest appearance in the film, which required just a couple of days work. He felt it was pointless to charge for a guest appearance in a film that features one of his favorite star and required only 3 days work on his part. Mr Bachchan wrote, ‘They had come over to officially sign me for this role and make payments etc…Payments and that too for a guest appearance of 3 days? Moreover with Mohanlal who has always had my greatest admiration? No way !! I don’t charge money for such roles.’
Definitely, with Mr. Bachchan praising him and agreeing to work in a Malayalam movie free of cost just to share screen space with him.
