After the removal of a comedy scene featuring actress of yester years Simi Garewal, there are reports that another scene is going to cut from the final copy of the film Short Kut: The Con Is On, and that too just a couple of days before the release of the film. And just like the scene featuring Simi Garewal, this scene will also be a comic scene and feature Arshad Warsi, whose strong point in comedy.
Though, the two instances seem similar since they feature Arshad Warsi, there is a huge difference between the two cuts. Whereas it is reported that the actor was extremely upset over the removal of his scene with Simi Garewal, it was Arshad himself, who asked for the deduction in the latter case.
Sources point out that there is a particular scene in "Short Kut: The Con Is On, where Arshard Warsi had cracked a joke on Pop Star Michael Jackson and his dancing style. But, when recently Arshard arranged a special show of the film for his family and friends, he noticed that after the sudden and untimely demise of the singer, this particular scene would now seem to be in bad taste.
It was then that Arshad called up the director of the film Neeraj Vora and requested that the scene should be removed from the film. Reports now suggest that after discussing the matter, the producer of the film Anil Kapoor and director Neeraj Vora have come to a conclusion that Arshad is right. Being the producer of the film, Anil Kapoor then ordered that irrespective of the cost involved in it, the scene should be removed before the film hits the theatre in a couple of days time.
Now, that’s a Bollywood tribute to the late King of Pop.
