Arshard Warsi will get Rs. 3 crore for being a part of Golmaal 3.
Sources close to the makers of the film say that Arshard Warsi has finally given a green signal to being a part of Golmaal 3 after the producers of the film agreed that he will get Rs. 3cr for this role.
With this deal being sealed between the actor and the makers of Golmaal 3, Arshard will be the second highest paid actor in the film and will get a fee lesser than Ajay Devgn only.
The problems between the makers of Golmaal 3 and Arshard came to light, when the Bollywood actor asked them to increase his fee after the release of his latest film Ishqiya, which has done exceptionally well at the Box office.
Sources add that whereas the makers of Golmaal 3 appreciated the fact that Arshard may have the right to ask a little more, they feared that if they gave into his demand, other actors like Shreyas Talpade and Tushar Kapoor, who are as big star in Bollywood as Arshad himself, would also ask for an increase in their remuneration. But, it seems the producers of Golmaal 3 had to give-in to Arshad’s demand when he refused to change his stand.
The sources add that the makers of the film eventually agreed to Arshard’s demand as they were keen to have him in the film due to his perfect comic timing.
But interestingly, both Arshad and the director of Golmaal series Rohit Shetty have denied that any such deal has been stuck between the producers of the film and the Bollywood actor. Whereas the director of the film says that talks are still on with Arshad for a role, the actor on his part denies the fact that he has anything to do with Golmaal 3 at all.
It seems by denying the fact that Arshad, will get Rs. 3 cr for Golmaal 3, both the actor and the makers of the film want to play it safe. Whereas by denying the fact that he will get such an amount, Arshad has made sure that people don’t call him an arrogant fellow, who has increased his price after the success of Ishqiya, it will also ensure that other actors of the film do not follow Arshad’s footsteps and ask for more money to be a part of Golmaal 3.
