Ajay Devgn says his next film Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge will remind you of Hrishikesh Mukherjee`s films.
Though he may have asked his producers to delay the release of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge due to a request by a friend, it by no means that Ajay Devgn is not serious about his film or is not expecting big results from it.
In fact, if Ajay is to be believed, after his recent films like Golmaal Returns and All the Best, where he was praised for his comic timings, Ajay has tried his hand at comedy all over again with Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. Ajay says that the film is a neat and clean comedy and will remind you of films by the genius of comedy films himself Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
Talking about the film, Ajay says, It is a Hrishikesh Mukherjee type of a film. Remember his films when we used to get emotional and also smile as the scenes unfolded at the very same time. That`s the bracket that Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge finds itself in since it has the kind of humor, which is clean and at the very same time also quite rib tickling."
Talking about the high points of the film, Ajay adds, “This film is neither a very big budgeted nor is it a multi starrer. However, it has a solid script which makes it worth watching. The director has taken care maintaining a balance between what is presented on screen and how it looks.”
Certainly, though Hrishikesh Da had also shown his excellence as a director with serious films like Anand and Namak Haraam, he is known more for his films with perfect comic timings like Chupke-Chupke and Khubsoorat. It will be a treat to watch films of any film maker, which is even near to those films in remote sense. All one can hope is that Ajay is right and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge reminds you of Hrishikesh Mukherjee`s films, even if it is to a certain extent.
