Barbara Mori
Barbara Mori initially did not want to work with Hrithik Roshan.
Ever since the latest offering from Rakesh Roshan Kites went on the sets, there have been rumors that the lead pair of the film Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori have not only had great chemistry on screen but have been very close to each other personally. In fact, certain reports also suggested that during the shooting of the film, Barbara Mori and Hrithik came so close to each other that their personal equation had an adverse impact on the married life of the Bollywood star as his wife allegedly left his house.
Though, a lot has been said and written about the two stars being extremely fond of one another, not many people know that when Barbara Mori saw Hrithik for the first time, she wasn’t very impressed with him both when it came to his personality and acting skills and therefore refused the offer to work in Kites opposite him.
The Roshan camp was disappointed by her decision initially but it was later discovered that unfortunately, the picture and videos sent to Barbara Mori were quite ordinary and did not speak volumes about Hrithik’s impressive personality and his other achievements as an actor in Bollywood.
Since the Roshan family was keen on having Barbara Mori in Kites and did not want a wrong impression of Hrithik to be the reason for her not signing the film, Hrithik himself swung into action and arranged DVDs of some films, which showed him in more memorable performances including, Dhoom 2, Koi Mil Gaya and Lakshya and sent them to the Hollywood actress..
Hrithik was actually right because after seeing both his personality and performance in these films, Barbara Mori not only changed her initial perception about Hrithik, but also got ready to be a part of Kites.
