Zoya Akhtar is said to have signed Barbara Mori for her next film.
Though the reviews of the much-awaited Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori starrer Kites haven’t been all that encouraging as it was expected, Bollywood has embraced Barbara Mori with open hands. After being praised for her performance in Kites, the Spanish actress has allegedly being signed for another Bollywood film. Reports suggest that Zoya Akhtar is planning to sign Barbara Mori for Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, the next directorial venture of Zoya.
Though after Barbara Mori had a taste of Bollywood with Kites and she being praised for her role in the film, it is but natural that more offers will be made to her in times to come, but reports suggest that Barbara Mori got this role on the recommendations of none other than her co-star in Kites Hrithik Roshan, who also plays the male lead in Zoya’s film Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara.
Whereas it is possible that Hrithik may have made this recommendation purely on the basis of the need of the character of Zoya’s film, which suits Barbara Mori perfectly, reports indicate that Hrithik suggested Barbara’s because of her personal closeness to her.
Whereas sources indicate that Hrithik hopes that working with Barbara Mori all over again will give Hrithik a chance to continue with her friendship with Barbara Mori and strengthen it even further during the shooting of the Zoya’s film, hopefully it will give the kind of hype to Zoya’s film, which she was look for to give a hit after the failure of her first directorial venture Luck By Chance at the Box office.
