In the past few years, film making has become a big Khichadi. There was a time when, people who worked very closely with the director behind the camera used to take up film making at some point of time. For example, looking at the past, you may find so many camera persons have taken to direction. Of course, many actors either due to compulsion or after gaining the required experience have also tried their hand at direction. But now, you find that a few like Farhan Akhtar are doing exactly the opposite by making their way into acting after being a successful director. Then you also have people like Farah Khan and Veeru Devgun, who switched to direction after being a successful choreographer and an action director respectively.
But this is new, unusual and totally different. After being a successful director and being associated with films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Black, the famous director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has now decided to get into music and will himself be composing for his own next directorial venture Guzaarish.
When asked, Bhansali confirmed this news by saying that being a director, it is sometimes extremely difficult for him, to put across his ideas to a composer and get the right kind of music for his film. Bhansali feels that by composing the music for his own film, he will be able to overcome this difficulty. Justifying his decision, Sanjay said that he feels that he is a musician at heart and will become a complete film maker by composing for his own film.
Bhansali has already said to have completed composing four of the proposed eight tracks for Guzaarish.
Bhansali has always been experimental with excellent music in Khamoshi, The Musical and Devdas and with no music in Black. Everyone will now be waiting to see how this new experiment works for him.
