Though Deepika Padukone wasn’t the first choice for the lead lady for Love Aaj Kal, this did not affect the lady as she thoroughly enjoyed working in the film. And, its not only the experience of being a part of the film that she seems to have enjoyed but she even had a great time being on the sets of the film.
Reports point out that during the shooting of the film, Deepika had developed a good rapport with all the unit members of the film and even played pranks on them.
Sources in the unit of Love Aaj Kal said that Deepika would borrow the walkie from one of the assistant directors and pass comments, amusing and communicating to a select few who would know and leave the others baffled as to who the mysterious voice was. The crew members initially were unaware that it was Deepika and gossiped with her openly.
It took some time before a few crew members realized that it was actually Deepika, who was on the other side of the phone and she was playing a prank with them.
Of course, Deepika sincerely enjoyed the banter and took all the gossip very sportingly.
Since, it was all done for fun, the team members of Love Aaj Kal really enjoyed the whole act and became highly fond of Deepika.
Given that she had to really give it more than 100% to the role so that when the film releases no one feels sorry to see her as a part of the film, such lighter moments must have helped Deepika to keep her sprits high.
