Govinda is said to be unhappy with his role in Raavan.

Whereas the audio of the much-awaited film Raavan was released a couple of days back with almost everyone associated with the film present at the occasion, the guests were surprised to see that Govinda, who has an important role in the film was not present at this important event related to the film. Reports now suggest that Govinda intentionally missed the occasion because he is not happy with his role in the film.

Reports suggest that though his role in the film was very small even when it was narrated to him, but what has disappointed Govinda is that his role has been cut down even further during the final editing and he is hardly seen in the film.

But Govinda blames director Mani Ratnam for his absence from the audio release of Ravana. He says, “Contrary to what is being thought, I was absent from the audio release of Raavan not because I am unhappy with my role in the film but because I was informed only two days before the event and I could not reach back to Mumbai from Vrindavan at such a short notice.”

Govinda further adds, “There is no question of being disappointed with the role because I only have guest appearance in the film. But even with this small role, I have learnt a lot from Mani Ratnam.”

Govinda is desperately in need of a hit film. Though he is said to be unhappy with his role in Raavan, which according to him is rather small, he would still be hoping that he gets noticed in it.
