Govinda’s Daughter Narmada
Govinda doesn’t want his daughter Narmada to work opposite Salman Khan, who is her uncle.
Ruling out all rumors that his daughter was to feature opposite Salman Khan in any film, Govinda has said that his daughter Narmada cannot be paired with Salman in any film because she treats Salman as her uncle.
Govinda added, "How can my daughter be paired opposite Salman when she calls him Chacha? Both Salman and Narmada would feel very awkward had they been acting together as a romantic couple. Touchwood, my friendship with Salman goes far beyond professional life and is not dependent on whether we work together or not. In Salmanbhai, I’ve made a friend for entire life."
Govinda maintained that he does not have anything against either Salman or Shatrughan Sinha. He said that he has both personal and professional relation with the family of Shatrughan for a very long time, which is not dependent on small issues like whose daughter gets to work in which film.
Govinda has had to issue this clarification after media reports that he was upset with Salman for backing out from his initial promise of helping his daughter enter into Bollywood. If reports are to be believed Salman’s family had initially thought of casting Narmada in Dabangg but eventually the role went to Sonakshi Sinha. Though Govinda did not make a big issue of the entire episode earlier, he came out openly against Salman after Dabangg proved to be a big hit at the box office.
Though Narmada has started getting offers from Bollywood now, despite stating otherwise Govinda is still unhappy with Salman and does not want his daughter to be a part of any project, which involves Salman in any way.
