Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan
Paa is surely going to be a very interesting film to watch. As everyone knows Paa is a very special film where Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a 13 year old boy and Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of his father.
Though, the director of the film Paa, R Balakrishnan had a script in mind, he wasn’t very sure whom to cast in the film. So, how did eventually come to a decision to cast Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in these roles?
Speaking on this issue, R Balakrishnan said, “One day during the shooting of Cheeni Kum, when I was discussing scenes with Amitji, Abhishek came to the studio. That’s when I saw Abhishek, who otherwise is known as the brat, having a serious conversation with his father. In fact, at that point of time, he came across as the more mature of the two. And I thought why not explore their relationship in that light? That’s how the role reversal happened.”
Other than the role reversal, where Abhishek plays Amitabh’s father, the film is also expected to be in the news for highlighting a congenital abnormality, Progeria. Hopefully, just as Aamir Khan’sTaare Zameen Par, along with being a commercial success did a remarkable job when it came to spreading awareness about dyslexia, after watching Paa, people get to know more about Progeria and at the same time the film will also do well at the Box Office.
