Rakesh Roshan Barbara Mori and Hrithik at Cannes
What does Cannes film festival men to India? Whereas for our Bollywood stars, it may mean a much needed exposure to international film world and opportunities beyond the dream world in Mumbai, for the media and journalists who cover the industry, it is nothing more than another medium to collect some gossip news.
To start with, it was the Aishwarya and Sonam controversy that became the highlight point in India. And before that controversy could die a natural death, Bollywood has managed to get itself involved in an all new controversy with regard to the Cannes film festival.
After Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, the next Bollywood mega star to grace Cannes film festival has also run into controversy.
You may recall that while Hrithik Roshan was at the festival to promote his new film Kites, which is being promoted as an international film in English language, there was one person who was particularly noticed as missing from the Kites team.
No, it wasn’t Barbara Mori, the lead actress of Kites if you thought so, but it was Hrithik’s wife Suzanne Roshan.
Earlier also, there have been news of an alleged rift in the relation of Hrithik and his wife Suzanne due to Barbara Mori, but they were quickly discarded as rumors by the Roshan family.
But, ever since the news of the much talked about kissing scene between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in Kites became the talking point in the media and television channels, the rumors seem to have resurfaced all over again. And now Suzanne’s absence from Cannes has led to new speculations, since when she usually accompanies him to all important Bollywood award functions, how was she missing from such an important event.
Undoubtedly, Hrithik Roshan is one of the most promising finds for Bollywood in the 21st century, who has concentrated more on his career and reached new heights. Hopefully this controversy is not going to halt his wonderful career.
