Akshay Kumar and Kareena Enjoying the Cake on the release of Kambakkht Ishq
For quite some now, ever since the media came to know about it, much has been said and written about Kareena’s swimsuit scene in Kambakkht Ishq. Sources said that while Kareena’s love interest in real life Saif Ali Khan wasn’t really upset about the whole issue, his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi wasn’t very happy with the idea of his would-be daughter-in-law wearing a swimsuit and even said to have allegedly asked his son to raise the matter with Kareena’s mother Babita.
But, for the first time now, Kareena Kapoor has herself come out and spoken about her swimsuit scene in the film.
And as expected, Kareena, while giving her clarification on it said that she agreed to wear a swimsuit because it was the need of the scene. Kareena said, “I was to swim in the scene and I cannot do that wearing a pair of jeans.”
Further, a good news for the director of Kambakkht Ishq Sabir Khan is that Kareena has given the director a free hand in using the swimsuit scene in the promos of the film. Earlier, reports in the media had indicated that Kareena had requested Sabir Khan that her swimsuit scene should be left out of the various promos of the film. But, when asked, Kareena said that it was totally on the director to choose the scenes he wants to use to promote the film.
May be, after the objections raised by Kareena, she has had a meeting with Sabir Khan, who explained to her that considering the hype the film has already managed to achieve, it needs to be promoted in the best possible manner and anything required for that must be taken care of, so that film is a success at the Box office. It seems though reluctantly Kareena has agreed to this argument.
