Katrina Kaif recently said that she doesn’t mind if this year’s Filmfare best actress award goes to someone else.
In a cool gesture just weeks before the annual Filmfare awards for Hindi films are announced, Katrina Kaif has said that she doesn’t mind if this year’s Filmfare best actress award goes to someone else.
Apart from Katrina herself, who has been nominated in the best actress category for her performance in New York, other female lead stars, who stand a chance to win this year’s Filmfare award include, Priyanka Chopra, nominated for both Kaminey and What’s Your Rashee, Vidya Balan for Paa, Kareena Kapoor for 3 Idiots and Deepika Padukone for Love Aaj Kal.
No, it is not as if that like all other Bollywood stars, who wish to win the prestigious Filmfare award over and over again, Katrina does not want to have a Filmfare for her performance in New York, but by giving importance to the performances of other female lead stars nominated for the award, Katrina is helping herself deal with the stress that she is going through before the prestigious award ceremony. Expressing her nervousness, Kareena said, "Everyone wants to win and be successful. You make a movie because you want it to be a hit and successful. Though I want to win after getting nominated but honestly I am so used to not winning that just the nomination is enough.”
Katrina added that she has been presently surprised by Priyanka Chopra’s powerful performance in Kaminey and feels that she is a strong contender for the award.
But, though Katrina has been nominated only for her performance in New York and says that she doesn’t mind if this year’s Filmfare best actress award goes to someone else, she has given the maximum number of hits in 2009 with film like New York, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and De Dana Dan being loved by the audiences. So, if you go by the number of hits, audiences have made Katrina a clear winner. Lets see if the judges of Filmfare awards hold the same opinion.
