Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor are said to be trying for the same role.
It seems that the race for the female lead in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan has become tight with both Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor trying their luck for the same role.
Reports suggest that since most of her films with Akshay Kumar have got good response at the Box office, both director Farah Khan and Katrina Kaif were very keen on her being a part of the film.
But, just as Farah was in the process of finalizing the lead lady for the film, she was approached by her good friend Anil Kapoor, who is keen on his daughter Sonam Kapoor being a part of this movie.
Sources say that since Sonam is not a part of any big banner commercial movie, her father is very keen that Sonam is a part of Farah’s movie, which is going to be one of the biggest releases of the year.
Though a final decision in this regard is yet to be taken, sources say that Farah is in favor of having Katrina in the film, only because of her commercial success. Sources close to Farah say that since Katrina has been very successful off-late, she expects that the film will have better chances at the box-office with Katrina being the female lead.
Moreover, the sources add that Farah is not keen on signing Sonam because of the long list of demands including do’s and don’ts that Anil lays down for producers signing his daughter, which may also prove to be a drawback for his daughter’s selection for the role.
Though Farah has still not announced the female lead in Tees Maar Khan, it is likely that while both Katrina and Sonam were trying for this role, it is Katrina, who is the clear winner in this race.
