Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan in Kites
Rakesh Roshan says he is not affected by negative reports about kites.
Whereas the media has written off the latest release in Bollywood Kites, criticizing it both when it comes to reviews and box office collections, producer of the film Rakesh Roshan says he is not affected by all the negative publicity being given to the film.
Rakesh said, "Everybody has their own view point on a given issue. If I like something, it is not at all necessary that others will like it too."
Pointing out that the film is getting good response at the box office, Rakesh said, “Though we have not received good reviews back home in India, the film has been immensely appreciated overseas. Our film must have had something that it has managed to do Rs.21 crore business on its opening day itself."
Despite the negative review that the film has got from the press, the Roshan family is in no mood to spoil their relation with the press community and they are being very careful before they make any comment in this regard. When asked about his reactions to kind of comments, which the media is making about the film, the leading male star of the film Hrithik Roshan said, “We respect everybody’s view point and I thank all the critics for whatever they have said about the film.”
Irrespective of what Rakesh and Hrithik may say, the fact remains that the poor reviews have affected the film negatively at the box office. Though the film may be a profitable deal in the long-run, due to the negative publicity, it may not be such a big hit in India.
