L K Advani recently called up Manoj Bajpai and praised his performance in Jail.
Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpai, who after a very long gap was recently seen in an important role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail, had a pleasant surprise when BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani called him up and praised his performance in the film.
Manoj says that he was even more surprised because unlike some of the other big Bollywood lead male actors, who know the veteran politician personally, he had only formally met him on one or two occasions in different functions but never had the opportunity to interact with him.
Manoj Bajpai seemed to be highly impressed with Mr. Advani. He said, “Though Advaniji told me that he was like any other Bollywood fan who enjoyed watching Hindi film, his knowledge about Hindi films was amazing.” Manoj added that Mr. Advani told him that he had watched Jail and appreciated his performance in the movie.
It is learnt that Mr. Advani, who like many other politicians is a great Bollywood fan, had recently seen Jail and was so impressed by Manoj that he called up film’s director Madhur Bhandarkar and took Manoj mobile number so that he could personally ring him up and congratulate the actor for his splendid performance.
Definitely, Mr. Advani calling him up and praising his performance has made Manoj very happy.
