Manoj Bajpayee has stood out with his performance in Raajneeti.
Quite often it has been seen that when it comes to multi-starrer movies, someone who was least expected to do so walks away with all the applauds. And as the latest multi-starrer movie Raajneeti hits the theatres this week, one star, who seems to have stood out in the crowd of stars with his performance is Manoj Bajpayee.
Though the film has just hit the theatres and the overall verdict about it is yet to come out, Manoj became the toast of the party at the premier of Raajneeti.
Leaving some senior co-stars like Nana Patekar and Ajay Devgn aside, other stars of the film like Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were so impressed by Manoj’s performance that they gave the kind of respect to him, which he never expected.
It all started when Katrina was so impressed by Manoj’s performance that once the customary group photograph of the star cast of the film at the premier was over, she touched Manoj’s feet and said, “Aap to superb actor hain.” Arjun and Ranbir soon joined in and though they did not touch his feet, they lifted Manoj on their shoulders.
A thrilled Manoj said later, “It was very embarrassing for me since Katrina herself has performed so well in the film and I told her this later. After that both Ranbir and Arjun lifted me on their shoulders and this was also a nice gesture from them as it showed the chemistry we all had during the making of the film.”
Manoj must be thrilled by these gestures by his co-stars, who feel that he stood out with his performance in Raajneeti. Manoj must be hoping to get a similar response from the audiences, who see the film at the theatres.
