Vindu Dara Singh
Though Vindu Dara Singh has not said a complete goodbye to camera, for quite some time now he has restricted himself to the world of Television by featuring in a couple of serials. But, many people were surprised to see Vindu in just released Kambhakkt Ishq, where he was featured in a very significant character.
You may recall that Vindu is the son of famous wrestler and actor Dara Singh and husband of Bollywood actress Farah, who unsuccessfully tried the role of hero in a few films in 1990’s.
Sources close to the producer of Kambhakkt Ishq, Sajid Nadiadwala now point out that Vindu got this role courtesy his sister-in-law Tabu.
Sources say that Sajid Nadiadwala has been close to the entire family of Farah and Tabu for years now and casting Vindu was his tribute to Tabu.
But Sajid agrees that Vindu was perfectly suited for the character of Akshay’s friend and assistant in the film. Sajid said, “Since I have been close to Tabu and Farah’s family, Vindu’s name struck me when I thought about the suitable actor for Akshay’s assistant cum friend.” Sajid added, “ I wanted someone who was as goofy as Big Moose in Archies and Vindu fitted the bill.”
Now with the film doing well at the box office, Vindu is surely going to be noticed. Vindu must be hoping that he can make the best out of this new opportunity that has come his way.
