Prakash Jha has refused to celebrate the success of Raajneeti without Katrina Kaif.
Whereas the remaining star cast has asked the director of the multi-starrer film Raajneeti to throw a party to celebrate the success of the movie, Prakash Jha has refused to do so because the lead lady of the film Katrina Kaif is not available to be a part of this celebration.
Sources say that the team of Raajeeti had fixed June 23 as the date when they will get together and celebrate the success of the film at the box office, but when the director came to know that Katrina, who is right now out of the country shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s new film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, won’t be able to become a part of this party, he tried to get it cancelled.
Though the remaining star cast of the film feels that Katrina’s role in the movie wasn’t so big or important that no celebration can be held without her presence, the director is not ready to listen to anyone in this regard.
Sources say that Prakash Jha has developed a lot of liking and respect for the leading female star of Raajneeti, who not only put in a lot of hard work during the making of the film but stood by him by taking part in all the promotional events before the film’s release.
But, when the director ultimately failed to get his way and had to throw the party in Katrina’s absence, he decided to specially honor the lead female star of his film on this occasion. Prakash Jha is now sending his representative to Spain, where Katrina is shooting, to record a special message from her, which will be played at the party to celebrate Raajneeti’s success.
Prakash Jha refusing to celebrate the success of Raajneeti without Katrina Kaif goes to show the kind of regards he has for her and the kind of contribution the director thinks she has made to make the film a hit. Probably this is the reason why Prakash Jha is so keen to sign Katrina even in his next directorial venture as well.
