Shahid Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapoor is said to be very excited about working with his son and his son’s character in his first film.
As Shahid Kapur’s father Pankaj Kapur gets ready to direct his son in his first directorial venture, he cannot stop his excitement while saying that he look forward to working with his son and the role of his son in his film Mausam is going to be very special.
Pankaj feels that he is starting his film just at the right time when after the success of Kaminay, the acting skills of his son have been recognized by all Bollywood fans. Pankaj hoped that with his film Mausam, Shahid will move a step further and show his diverse skills as an actor.
Pankaj says that his decision to work with his son was a very calculated one. Explaining this, he goes on to add that though he always wanted to direct his son and make a film with him, he only signed him once he was sure he had a good script and his son had the required acting skills to justify the script.
Indeed, given that Pankaj is so excited about his film, terming it as a turning point in the career of his son, you would definitely want to know what his film is all about? But, when asked, Pankaj says that he does not feel it would be appropriate for him to give away any details of his film at this point, apart from the fact that it’s a love story.
It seems Pankaj quite excited about both working with his son in Mausam and the character of his son in it. He is also getting ready to give a new shape to the career of his son with this film. Pankaj must be hoping that he can be another Rakesh Roshan, who in the past has always been there for his son Hrithik, giving a push to his career as and when he needs it with films like Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya and Krish. Pankaj would be hoping that he can do the same for Shahid as well.
