Amitabh Bachchan has found a new fan in Rajnikant, who is said to have loved Paa.
Amitabh Bachchan’s powerful performance as a 14-years-old kid in the recently released film Paa has not only won the heart of millions of Bollywood fans across the globe, but it has come as a pleasant surprise for even those, who have known Mr. Bachchan over the years and shared the screen with him. One person, said to be fascinated by Mr. Bachchan’s performance in Paa is Southern superstar Rajnikant, who had shared the screen with Mr. Bachchan in the 80s, when the two worked together in films like Hum and Andhaa Kanoon .
Mr. Bachchan recently wrote on his blog that he had arranged a special screening of Paa for Rajnikant after the latter had expressed his desire to see the film in which Mr. Bachchan had undertaken a character of a 14-years-old child.
Mr. Bachchan added that through Rajnikant had expressed his desire to talk to him immediately after watching the film, somehow that could not be arranged.
But, then to the surprise of Mr. Bachchan, Rajnikant took off from his busy shooting schedule and visited him in a resort in Lonavala. “We are all upset after seeing Paa, not so much because of the content and its emotional quotient, but because now that you have done this, what are we going to do,” said Rajnikant.
So, after being applauded both by critics and audiences for his outstanding performance in Paa, its now the turn of Mr. Bachchan to be praised by his co-stars. Rajnikant has just made the beginning by loving the film and becoming his fan all over again.
