Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor
All of you, who are familiar with the Hindi language, must also be familiar with the term Ghar Jamai, which refers to a man who lives at his bride’s place.
Now it seems we are going to have a Ghar Jamai in our own Bollywood film industry and its going to come from a family, which was once known as the first family of Bollywoood.
There was a time when stars like the late Prithvi Raj Kapoor and his eldest son Raj Kapoor were so particular about the prestige of their family that they wouldn’t allow any lady from their family to enter Bollywood or marry someone from the industry. Then came a time when Shammi Kapoor married his co-star from the industry. Time again changed and first Shashi Kapoor and then Randhir Kapoor allowed their respective daughters to face the camera.
It now seems times have again changed for the Kapoors as the latest kid of the family Rarbir is getting ready to be a Ghar Jamai. Reports suggest that Ranbir is so madly in love with his girlfriend Deepika Padukone that he refuses to either see or understand anything beyond her. This has led to a situation, where both Rishi and Neetu kapoor not only have had heated arguments with their son but are said to have got so upset and irritated with him that they have asked Ranbir Kapoor to get separated from them by finding his own accommodation.
Acting upon his parents advise, Ranbir is now said to have made up his mind to move to a new accommodation along with Deepika. But what is noteworthy here is that the new house, which is going to be the new residential address of both Ranbir and Deepika is owned by the young lady and not Ranbir. Though not legally but technically, doesn’t this make Ranbir a Ghar Jamai?
Though, the youth of 21st century may not find anything abnormal in this, but one wonders had the strict Prithvi Raj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor been alive, what would have they thought of this new move by Ranbir Kappor?
