Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will be touring colleges across the country to promote Rajneeti.
Though by its name, Rajneeti seems to be a serious film, which is suppose to be based on the political system of the country, director Prakash Jha is keen to promote it as a film for the youth. Keeping this in mind, he has asked two leading stars of the film Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif to promote the film in various colleges of the country.
During their visit to various colleges in eight cities of the country, Katina and Ranbir will discuss politics and cinema with the youth of the county.
Reports suggest that Jha feels that in India both the political system and those who run this system are undergoing a radical change. It is wrong to say that the present day generation does not identify with the politics and political leaders because young leaders of the next generation like Rahul Gandhi, Sachin Pilot and JyotiradityaScindia are joining politics and youth can identify with them. The director is keen to send this message across to the youth and hopes the young stars of the film will help in doing so.
Even Katrina and Ranbir know that a title like Rajneeti won’t be easy to sell among youth of today. The two are said to be making huge preparation to speak in detail on how Rajneeti is more than just a film on politics and will appeal to the youth.
Everyone associated with the film understands that for Rajneeti to do well at the box office, it is necessary that the youth can connect with it. Hopefully, with the promotions in colleges, the stars and the producers will be able to generate some interest about the film in youth.
