One of the immensely popular actresses of mid 90’s who is planning to make a comeback in Bollywood and wants to re-start her career right from where she had left it last time around, is the talented and national award winning actress Raveena Tandon. Raveena, who in the last phase of her first innings in Bollywood had tried her hand at some meaningful cinema and performance oriented roles, is going to start her second innings with similar kind of roles only.
Raveena said that she is extremely happy and excited about her comeback film ‘Chaasni’, where she will get to play a lawyer. The film, which will feature Jaya Bachchan, Ayesha Takia and Urvashi Sharma, will be a remake of a Tamil film
While recalling the first day’s shoot, Raveena said, “Though I was extremely nervous in the beginning, as soon as the clap was given and I faced the camera, I knew this is where I am actually meant to be.”
Raveena added that though she is getting a lot of offers, she is keen to do roles like the ones she did in Shool, Daman and Satta. “My role in ‘Chaasni is of that caliber,” she said.
Right Raveena, in any case, with so many young ladies around, no one is going to offer you glamorous roles anyway. Still, your fans must be happy to see you back and hoping that you reach similar heights as you did the first time round.
