Rekha and Jaya Bachchan came face to face with each other
Jaya Bachchan and Rekha recently met at a book launch function.
Camera persons missed a perfect photo opportunity earlier this year when seeing Rekha approach him at an award ceremony, Amitabh Bachchan walked away indicating that he is neither interested in talking or being seen in the same frame with the lady, who was allegedly very close to him both personally and professionally at one point of time. But this was not the first time when Rekha was ignored by the Bachchan family since before this Abhishek Bachchan also refused to seen with Rekha and rejected a role in Ramgopal Verma’s Bhoot just because Rekha would have been his co-star in the film.
But whereas the common understanding would be that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek avoided being seen with Rekha because it would upset Jaya Bachchan, both the ladies were seen each-other at a book release function.
Interestingly, the organizers of the concerned book launch event were aware that though both will be present at the event, the two ladies were not the best friends and therefore had made sure that the two do not meet or cross each-other at any point. Keeping this in mind, they had made them sit at two different ends of the hall.
Reports suggest that it was Rekha, who while moving out from the venue of the function noticed Jaya and stopped to greet her. Though, Jaya as always was not very comfortable either meeting or talking to Rekha, she decided to act in a very mature manner and carry on with the conversation.
Though it is still not known what transpired between Jaya and Rekha, this small meeting and conversation between the two stars at the book launch function gave a perfect photo opportunity to the camera persons, who had seen the two lead ladies of Bollywood talking with each-other after many years.
