Rohit Shetty, the director of All The Best is all praise for Sanjay Dutt.
Though, Ajay Devgan is the producer of All The Best and a good friend of director Rohit Shetty, but just before the release of the film, the director is going around the town speaking about just one man, Sanjay Dutt.
In fact, it now seems, the director has even formed some kind of an emotional attachment to Sanjay as he says, “You can’t help but be protective and affectionate about Sanjay. On accepting a film, he adopts the whole unit. Sometimes, it looked like as if rather than Ajay Devgan, it was Sanjay, who was the producer of All The Best. In the evenings, Ajay, Fardeen and the rest of the gang would be chilling out in Goa while Sanjay would sit with me and we used to think over the next day’s schedule. Sanjay was worried about every thing, from the food for the unit to my travel plans. If I had to leave the Goa location for Mumbai, he would be anxious about my return."
Rohit feels that apart from all he did behind the scenes in the making of All The Best, Sanjay Dutt is also a superb actor, whose true potential has not been realized and utilized. Rohit says that his film will take Sanjay’s career to a new high since his film has presented Sanjay in a very different manner.
Rohit Shetty praising Sanjay Dutt is rather surprising because initial reports suggested that despite All The Best being a comedy, something Sanjay is so good at, the actor was said to be more optimistic about his other two film Blue and Alladin and wanted these two films to release during the all-important Diwali week.
So, are the director’s comments praising Sanjay Dutt aimed at keeping him in good humor before the release of his film?
