The top level bosses of Sony Entertainment Television are a confused lot today, who fail to decide whether their decision to rope in Salman Khan as the anchor of the show Dus Ka Dum was right or wrong. Though, the show proved to be a massive hit among viewers and surprisingly did even better the Shahrukh Khan’s Kya Aap Faanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai, it has created more problems for the channels than solving them.
The channel, which now wants to shoot the second season of the hit show, is in a fix. To begin with, initial reports suggested that when he was contacted for the second season, Salman wasn’t very happy with the remuneration that was being offered to him to host the show. Salman, was allegedly also not very impressed with the logic of the channel that in times of economic recession, it was not possible for them to pay the price Salman had asked to be the host of the show. Though, after much persuasion Salman gave in and agreed to be the host, he gave a shock to the channel by pointing out to them that this time around, he would neither be shooting a promotional campaign for the show, nor will he request any of his celebrity friends to grace the show by being a part of it.
Now, if that was not enough, just after shooting the promos of the show, as the channel was getting ready to shoot the first episodes for the second season, they heard that Salman gave their dates to the producer of his much awaited project Veer and left for London to shoot for the film without even informing them.
Though, the channel has been assured by Salman’s personnel staff that he will be back in India before the due date on which next episodes of Dus Ka Dum are to be shot, the channel still fears that whether they will be put the show on air on the announced date of not.
On this part Salman has denied the rumors, but sources point out that the entire confusion has a lot to do with the fact that Salman hasn’t been paid what he had asked to host the show.
