Farah Khan is set to sign Salman Khan for the sequel of Om Shanti Om.
It now seems that the rift between Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan is actually wider than their fans and other well-wishers could ever think of. Reports suggest that instead of Shahrukh, Fahah is keen to sign Salman for the sequel of Om Shanti Om, which Farah wants to work on after she completes her present project Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar.
Reports suggest that the already existing problems between Shahrukh and Farah got deeper recently when during a reality dance show, where Farah was a judge and Salman had appeared as a guest, the choreographer had gone on to say that though it was Shahrukh, who was taken as the male lead in both Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, but it was Salman, who was the director’s first choice for the lead role in the two films.
You may recall that both Shahrukh and Farah have not been on good terms of-late. Whereas Shahrukh avoided inviting his one time good friend Farah for a party he organized for pop star Akon during his visit to Mumbai to record songs for Shahrukh’s film Ra1, Farah has also not too generous towards the Bollywood superstar as she signed Akshay and Salman for her films at a time when Shahrukh was not at good terms with both these stars in the industry.
But, probably even Farah knows that her remarks about Salman being the first choice as the male lead for both Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om has hurt Shahrukh deeply and has served as the last nail in the coffin of their friendship. It is now pointless for Farah to approach Shahrukh for any project, which is being directed by her.
So, with her ties with Shahrukh reaching a dead-end, Farah thought it was appropriate to start the sequel Om Shanti Om with some other actor apart from Shahrukh in the lead role. And since her relations with Salman have been on the positive side lately, she is hoping to cast him in the film.
