Sanjay Dutt says that he will be the next Munnabhai.
While there have been widespread speculations about who will play the lead role in the next Munnabhai film to be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hinani, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt has said that the next film of the series will continue to feature him in the lead role.
Sanjay Dutt said that though right now Rajkiumar Hirnani is working on its script, the next film of the Munnabhai series, Munnabhai Chale Amerika will go on floor in the end of the year and it would star him in the lead role. Sanjay said that Hirani had already discussed the dates of shooting with him.
Sanjay added that the film got delayed because producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani were more keen on making 3 Idiots first but after that film Munnabhai Chale Amerika has once again become their priority.
Sanjay said he would love to play Munnabhi for the third time because the character has been very close to his heart and he has got maximum admiration and applauds just for this character.
Sanjay’s comments are significant because though Aamir had denied it, there were widespread speculations that after 3 Idiots earned over Rs. 350 crore at the box office, the makers of Munnabhai series wanted to make the next film with Aamir.
But by saying that its him, who will continue to be the Munnabhai, Sanjay has ensured his fans that they will continue and enjoy him in this character.
