Sanjay Dutt wants to revive his production house.
Sanjay Dutt is keen to turn producer and revive his production house to make films under his own banner.
Reports suggest that Sanjay was keen to start producing films and wanted to make a formal announcement in this regard in the end of 2008 or early 2009, but then he had to put his plans on hold because his name was considered as a candidate for last year’s Lok Sabha elections. Moreover since Sanjay is interested to totally focus on production once he gets into it, he wants to first complete all his on the floor films before the film of his own production house gets launched.
Reports suggest that Sanjay has now signed David Dhawan, Rohit Jugraj, Soham Shah, Milan Luthria and Apoorva Lakhia to direct films, which he will make in days to come.
But apart from this, Sanjay is not ready to reveal any plans in this regard at this stage. He says, “I don’t want to say anything right now. Whenever I make a formal announcement in this regard, it will be in a big way.”
Sanjay wants that whenever he takes-up production, he gets fully involved in all aspects of it. For the time being though, Sanjay has hired a full time production manager and staff in various departments, who would look after his production house.
Sanjay said that since the time available with him is limited, he will cut down on his acting commitments to concentrate on his production work.
Sanjay reviving his production house is important in the sense he wants to make movies similar to what his father Sunil Dutt use to make, which apart from entertaining people also give a social message.
