Shahid Kapoor has asked producer Boney Kapoor to delay the release of Milenge Milenge.
There are even more problems for producer Boney Kapoor and his long awaited film Milenge Milenge after Shahid Kapoor requested him to delay the release of the film further. While Boney was keen to release the film in April this year, Shahid wants that the film should not be released so early.
Shahid has asked to delay the film because he feels that his image has undergone a change after the grand success of Kaminey and the Bollywood star hopes that he can only cash in on and take advantage of his new image as a good actor, if some of his better films release first.
If sources close to Shahikd are to be believed, Milenge Milenge, where he stars opposite Kareena Kapoor is certainly not one of those films.
You may recall that whereas this is the first instance when Shahid has asked the producer to delay the film, Milenge Milenge has been hanging in balance for quite some time now with Kareena refusing to give dates for the film once her personal equation with Shahid went sour.
Shahid says that as an actor, he is more confident about his other films like Paathshaala and Badmaash Company, where he is getting a much better chance to prove his acting capabilities and wants those films to hit the theatres first.
The good news for Shahid though, is that producer Boney Kapoor has decided to heed to his request. Confirming the news of the film’s delay, Boney said, "Yes. I have postponed Milenge Milenge from April 2 after Shahid did tell me to postpone the film as he felt that for three films to release at the same time would make all suffer and also cut into the promotional events."
Though, Boney may have to suffer a bit after Shahid asked him to delay the release of Milenge Milenge, the good news for him is that Kareena has agreed to promote the film as and when Boney decides to release it.
