Shahrukh Khan says that Bollywood may be able to compete with Hollywood in next five years.
Bollywood megastar Shahrukh Khan has expressed hope that the Hindi film industry will be in a position to compete with Hollywood in the coming five years.
Shahrukh said that his confidence emerges from the fact that a lot of young blood is coming into the world of Hindi cinema and these young people are not afraid of experimenting and giving quality movies to the audience.
He said the new generation of film makers in India not only understand the Hollywood style of film making but are also aware of the methods to incorporate that style in our cinema. Shahrukh said its good to see that the Indian film makers are taught about the modern film making style in the same way as their western counterparts and therefore have the capabilities and the technique of making equally good films.
Shahrukh has not only expressed hope that the Bollywood technicians will be able to complete with their Hollywood counterparts in the near future but with his new film Ra 1, he has also started taking steps to make this dream a reality. Shahrukh has brought together the technicians of both the east and the west in this film, who will work together. Shahrukh is hopeful that the Indian technicians will make use of this collaboration and learn from their friends in Hollywood to give such films that are liked not only by fans in Bollywood but across the world.
With films like Kites and Ra 1, which not only have Hollywood technicians but hopefully are films of international standards, Bollywood will be noticed internationally. Moreover, with technicians of both sides working together, Bollywood then will be able to compete with Hollywood in next five years and Shahrukh’s dream will cone true.
