Despite not doing any film together, Shahrukh and Aamir may be the biggest rivals in Bollywood with their personal relation growing hot and cold from time to time, still the King Khan is extremely lucky for Aamir and has a big role to play in his success.
After the phenomenal success of his film 3 Idiots at the Box office, Aamir may be at an all time high, but do you know that he wasn’t the first choice for the role of Rancho, which he undertook in the film.
Incidentally, when producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani planned 3 Idiots and thought of the character of Rancho, rather than Aamir, the first person they had in their mind was Shahrukh. It was only after Shahrukh, who has been having major differences with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for quite some time now, refused the role that it went to Aamir.
But this is not the first time that Aamir has been benefitted by a role that was written for Shahrukh and initially offered to him. Before this, the role of DJ in Rang De Basanti was meant for Shahrukh but somehow it was Aamir who eventually got it and made history with his brilliant performance.
Thus, it’s the roles, which Shahrukh has refused or hasn’t been able to commit himself to and have fallen in Aamir’s lap, which have proved lucky for the latter. May be Aamir should ask his producers to write his characters keeping Shahrukh in mind and offer the role first to him before eventually casting him in the role so that the film is a super hit at the Box office..
