Shahrukh Khan intentionally stayed away from Kolkata Knight Riders match.
Reports suggest that Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan intentionally missed being present to watch the opening match of his IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders because Shahrukh believes that his presence makes the team nervous and ultimately lose their matches.
Talking about his decision not to watch the match, Shahrukh said, "I was with the team until 4 pm. The first match gets too nerve-wracking, so I decided not to travel with the team.. Sometimes my presence at a match puts pressure on the boys. So I asked dada and we all took this decision.”
A source close to Shahrukh said that Shahrukh did not go to watch the match because unlike last year, when Shahrukh’s presence created some problems for his team and Shahrukh himself, he wanted to avoid any controversy, which may be created by his presence,
But, that by no way means that Shahrukh is not interested in either the game or the IPL cricket team he owns. Sources say that despite not being present at the stadium, Shahrukh was very much aware of what was happening on the ground as he and some of his close friends hired an auditorium to watch every minute of the proceedings at the ground.
Meanwhile, though Shahrukh wasn’t there at the ground, his partner in Kolkata Knight Riders Juhi Chawla was present at the stadium cheering her team.
It seems that you won’t see Shahrukh too much at the IPL matches. If his staying away helps Kolkata Knight Rider win matches, Shahrukh would love to stay away and not put pressure on his team. And, with Juhi proving lucky for the team, Shahrukh would love to let her do the cheering work this time around.
