Shobha De
Shobha De is to work for Ekta Kapoor.
Though it is not known whether noted writer and columnist Shobha De watches the kind of serials, which Ekta Kapoor makes but the two ladies are now going to work together.
So, what brings them together? Whereas Shobha De has used her pen to write for Television in the past, Ekta despite being the uncrowned queen of Indian Television has not roped in Shobha De to write the story of any Saas-bahu kind of Television serial.
In fact, if reports are to be believed, the relations between Shobha and Ekta for this upcoming project are going to be very interesting. This is because though Shobha is primarily a writer, she is not writing but working just as a consultant for this project. Moreover, though Ekta is known for making serials that keep you hooked to Television for years together, she has not asked Shoba’s advise for Television but for a Bollywood film she is producing.
Ekta’s film will focus on lifestyle, gangsters, politicians, Bollywood during the 1970’s. Ekta feels that since Shobha De is an expert on lifestyle and has done a lot of research work of this issue, she should have a lot of knowledge on this subject and her inputs may not only lead the story forward but give an appropriate look to the film.
Shobha De is said to be very excited about the film. She says that Mumbai, the city where the film is going to be based was a happening place in the 1970’s as well and even if it is as a consultant, she will be able to put in a lot and reveal many secrets about the city, which remain unknown to the common man till today.
Hopefully when Shobha De and Ekta Kapoor work together for a film, they will come up with something special. We are waiting.
