As expected, after his grand success at the Oscars, A R Rehman has now attained the status of celebrity music composer both in Bolllywood and down South. This is evident by the number of Celebrities who are taking part in his next concert to be held at Kozhikode in Kerala on third May.
The two most prestigious families of Bollywood have already given their final nod to attend the show. These include, the Shehanshah of Bollywood , as Amitabh Bachchan himself along with his son Abhishek Bachchan and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya are going to be there and so will the Badshah Shahrukh Khan, who accompanied by his wife will also be gracing the occasion. Many more Bollywood stars are also expected to make their presence felt at the show.
And, if that was not enough, keeping in mind that A R Rehamn originally hails from South India and his music is equally popular in films of South Indian languages, some of the leading names from the South Indian films will also be attending the concert.
The fact that so many film personalities are going to mark their presence to listen to Rehman’s music,is not surprising at all. The kind of status and respect the composer holds in Indian film Industry after his triumph at the Oscars, was evident when the entire industry gave him a standing ovation as Rehman took to stage during this year’s Filmfare awards.
Well, coming back to the show, since probably its the first one after Rehman won the prestigious Oscars, it is not surprising that it has been named after the most famous song of the award winning Slumdog Millionaoire, Jai Ho.
Apart from A R Rehman’s performance and the presence of array of stars, another attraction of the show will be the seating arrangement that will allow the all spectators irrespective of how far they may be from the stage, to be able to see the stage with the same amount of ease.
The good news for Rehman is that all tickets for the concert have been sold and the show is going to be houseful.
