Vivek Oberoi
The makers of Kurbaan say that Vivek Oberoi is missing from the promos of the film because they do not want to expose him.
The promos of the upcoming film Kurbaan, which hits the theatres in next couple of days are in full swing with all Television channels putting them on air. If you have had that opportunity to see these promos, you would definitely know by now that allegedly the real life couple of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor feature as a romantic pair in the film. But, whereas Vivek Oberoi too has a major role in the film, he has been surprisingly missing from most of the promos that have been aired so far. In fact Om Puri, who also plays an important character in the film, seems to have been given more importance in all promos than Vivek.
Logically, if you think of it, you may feel that since the makers of the film want to cash in on the curiosity that fans of both Kareena and Saif have to see them romancing on Big screen, the emphasis is on both of them. But director of Kurbaan, Rensil D’Silva, gives a totally different reason for Vivek’s absence from the promos.
The director says that it is a very difficult situation for him because even though Vivek’s character is very important in the film, showing too much of him in promos may reveal the plot and the suspense element of the movie. This, the director feels may ultimately adversely affect the film’s performance at the Box Office.
Rensil D’Silva says he has spoken to Vivek and explained to him the reason of his absence from the promos of the film.
So, whereas the makers of Kurbaan say that Vivek is missing from the promos of Kurbaan because they do not want to expose him, probably you will see more of him in the film.
