Though not much has been written about it, as the date of drew close, everyone wanted to know who will get more attention at the premier of Love Aaj Kal. Will it be actor-producer Saif Ali Khan’s good friend Kareena Kapoor, who planned to accompany him at the much awaited premier of the film in Delhi or will it be the lead actress of the film Deepika Padukone?
Though Saif was lucky that whereas she is always with him wherever he goes within and outside Mumbai, Kareena rarely visited the sets of the Love Aaj Kal, being produced by Saif and never interfered in his professional work. This not only gave complete professional freedom to Saif in his work but also helped Deepika to feel more comfortable on the sets of the film.
This was different though. It was the premier of Love Aaj Kal and Kareena openly said that despite not being a part of it officially, the film was very close to her heart and she was looking forward to be present at the premier.
So, as the entire industry waited anxiously to get some spicy news from the event and to see who among the two gets more importance, they were in for a big disappointment when they heard the news that Kareena at the last moment had decided to miss the premier due to some other engagements.
So, all by herself in the end, did Deepika manage to become a show topper? Not really if sources present at the premier are to be believed. It was the other lead lady of Love Aaj Kal, the Brazilian beauty, Giselle Monteiro, who stole the show and left Deepika, way behind when it came to being clicked by cameramen.
One wonders how Deepika actually felt at that given moment because being second to Giselle Monteiro must be more embarrassing for her than being over-showed by Kareena Kapoor.
