The makers of 3 Idiots have donated money to UNICEF.
When your film has earned you around Rs. 370 cr, you can easily think of earning the tag of a good social worker and do some good to the society by donating what you earn over and above those Rs. 370 cr. The makers of 3 Idiots did precisely the same when they donated the money they earned by the screening of the film at the UN to UNICEF.
A source close to the makers of the film said, “Film-makers Raj Kumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra decided to donate the entire proceeds from the screening at UN to the UNICEF. The decision has been conveyed by them to the UNO headquarters.”
Though the amount donated has not been specified either by the official at UN or anyone from the office of Vidhu Vinod Chopra, reports suggest that with over 700 people attending the screening of 3 Idiots, the producer of the film had quite a big amount to donate to the UN headquarters.
The lead actor of the film Aamir Khan has also given his approval to the proceeds of the film being donated.
So after earning a huge amount from the film, the makers of 3 Idiots have now done social good by donating money to the UNICEF.
