A R Rehman
The music Maestro A R Rehman is entering election arena. No, No. don’t get it wrong. He is not contesting any election. Neither is he going to campaign for any political party. Rather, A R rehman is going to work for the Election Commission to create a sense of responsibility among voters to vote. According to reports the office of Chief Election commissioner of Delhi, the music composer is going to create a composition urging the Delhites to come out and cast their vote in the upcoming assembly elections in the state. Although it is has not been finalized as yet, along with the composition, Rehman may also be asked to give a message to the voter in the same context.
Giving details about the need of this campaign, the state election commission has said that it is a cause of great concern that the voters turnout in the metropolitan National Capital state of the country has fallen over the years. Each time elections take place in the city, as compared to the previous occasion, the voters turnout has been less. Reports from the commission and media also suggest that it is the socio-economically influential sections of voters in the city, who are the least interested in casting their vote. Rehm an’s campaign will try out a humorous approach to create a sense of shame among these and other 12 section of voters who hardly ever vote.
The Delhi election commission also plans to use the sizzling numbers from A R Rehman ‘s latest blockbuster Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Pappu Can’t Dance to encourage voters to use their voting power
So. If you think that A R Rehman and his music is cool, take his advise and vote on 29th November.
