A.R. rehman expects Commonwealth Theme Song to be a Hit

A R Rehman hopes his Commonwealth Song to be a big hit.

Oscar and Grammy winning Indian music composer A R hehman, who is giving final touching to the Commonwealth theme song, hopes that the song composed by him for the games will be a big hit.

Giving a sneak preview into the theme song for the game – Swagatham – Rehman said that the song, which will be released in 10 days, is worth waiting for.

Rehman said, “I have been working on the song for the last six months, which is in my voice.” Rehman said that the song will be very different and unlike something which audiences have ever heard before.

Rehman expects that everyone present at the opening ceremony sings the song, which is about India, its energy and winning.

Rehman, who will be performing at the opening ceremony of the games to be held in New Delhi, said that he has presented the song to the group of ministers from the central government, which is looking after the organizing of the games. He added that the group of ministers liked the song. The Bollywood music director expressed hope that Swagatham will be a bigger hit than recent worldwide hit Waka Waka, which was composed for FIFA football world cup

At times when as lot of doubt is being raised regarding India’s ability to organize such a big international sporting event, it seems that irrespective of whether the games are a success or not, the theme song for the commonwealth games composed by A R Rehman will surely be a success.
